Why would you want to buy a cow from a farm like ours? We carefully choose our cows for sale. We strive to maintain excellent natural health and vitality in our animals. We carefully curate our herd and due to the nature of life and growth, we have cows as a “crop” which we seek to raise and tend as excellently as possible. When we began we were green AND poor. We were taken advantage of many times and sold animals that were past ready for slaughter. Maybe they were literally insane temperamentally, maybe they were sick and couldn’t have a calf (dairy cows need to be able to do that), maybe they had been fed so much grain they couldn’t switch to our grass fed operation. We learned the importance of having an amazing bull with the “right genetics” (which just means unadulterated genetics really) so that he could thrive on 100% grass fed living. We learned how to know the health, strength, and wellness of our cows from some of the best experts in the country who understand “ancient path” wisdom on animal husbandry. God has blessed us with an incredible herd and a byproduct of a herd of cows are cows. We have also begun a work with our youngest son where he tames the young calves who are selected to sell so that they will be used to human interaction and less jumpy when they leave the herd and go to your homestead. In addition to just one of the best cows you can get, we offer cattle consultations so you can learn as you go. Our mentors were God-given blessings to us. We learned all we have learned through prayer and seeking the Lord and often through Him answering by sending along someone who knew so much more and could help us in time of need.

Cattle Consultations
With no background in farming, the Fuhrmanns started at ground zero with nothing but faith in God’s leading, and a vision and desire to jump into beyond organic Divine Design homesteading. As a result, they learned through the school of hard knocks (that ever continues). The stories could fill a book, but, suffice it to say, they may know a thing or two that could help you avoid some of the same mistakes.
Don’t have any experience with cows, or you’re desiring to learn more? Seeking to husband and shepherd your animals naturally without chemicals, pharmaceutical medicines, or hormone & GMO feeds?
Through years of living and working in both Africa and Virginia, the Fuhrmanns have learned that wellness and vitality are directly linked to the health of our food.

Jacques P. Fuhrmann
Jack has always loved nature, animals, and learning how to join God’s design. From childhood, he has had a compassionate heart toward animals. Over the years, Jack has fearlessly led his family into more alignment with nature, both in life and on their farm. Although at times they seemed to be exaggerated, Jack’s ideas always paid off… like when he moved to grass-fed before it was a thing, transitioned to an A2A2 herd before it was a buzzword, stopped dehorning (though most had no idea of its benefits), or left heifers on their moms for ten months while others scoffed at the loss of milk. He often says he wants the best for his family and can’t offer anyone less than that. He also has been mentored by some of the best cattlemen in the field – men who share his vision and heart for God’s design of the farm, the family, and the animals.
Joshua C. Fuhrmann, Farm Manager
From the earliest age, Josh was a hands-on learner and had a great interest in animals. While in Africa amid the herdsman and shepherds, he felt himself at home.
On the farm in VA, that love was quickly instilled into his work with the cows. As part of his education, he traveled with the local country vet, was mentored by his dad and Gerald Fry, read books, and joined his dad in any training opportunities that arose. He is now our farm manager and is training the next generation of “fearless cow lovers” in the way that they should go. His specialty is raising healthy cows that will provide your family with nutrient-dense food.
“It’s very rewarding to work hard and raise healthy grass and robust animals that, in turn, provide real nutrient-dense food for us and our customers. I am a strong Christian and believe that any beneficial information I have has ultimately been given to me by God. It’s an honor to be able to share about His beautiful design with you and to continue learning as we live life together.”
